Welcome to Linguacuisine

Welcome to Linguacuisine, the fruit of 10 years’ research by computing scientists and linguists at Newcastle University and partners throughout Europe!

We hope you will enjoy learning languages while cooking and also that you will take part in our online community and add your own favourite recipe using our ‘recipe builder’ – the Linguacuisine authoring tool.

Help people all over the world learn about your own language, culture and cuisine and learn yourself about other countries. Tell others how the cooking went and how the food tasted on our online community.

There is a very close link between language, food and culture, and Linguacuisine aims to help us understand each other better on our crowded planet. Above all, Linguacuisine is an exciting way to learn a language, with tasty food to eat at the end of it.

I look forward to trying out your recipe!
