Welcome to Linguacuisine, the fruit of 10 years’ research by computing scientists and linguists at Newcastle University and partners throughout Europe! We hope you will enjoy learning languages while cooking – choose from a wide range of languages and recipes using the recipe player.
Also please add your own favourite recipe in your own language to the system using the recipe authoring tool. Help people all over the world learn about your own language, culture and cuisine.
Then tell others how the cooking went and how the food tasted on our online community. Exchange information about your own language, culture and cuisines with other people and learn about theirs.
There are very close links between language, food and culture, and Linguacuisine aims to help us understand each other better on our crowded planet. Above all, Linguacuisine is an exciting, physical way to learn a language, with tasty food to eat at the end of it. I look forward to trying out your recipe and learning something of your language!
